Friendly's Push into Franchising. Adopting a new strategy of franchise-only locations, Friendly's Ice Cream Corp. recently signed a deal selling 10 of its Florida restaurants to a Florida corporation, which has agreed to develop 25 more in the next 11 years. The deal was valued at $3.15 million.
