The growing numbers of singles -- from the newly-divorced to the confirmed bachelor/bachelorettes, combined with an increasing public openness toward new ways to meet people, have apparently created a successful industry of matchmakers. Many of these matchmaker companies, from It's Just Lunch to Equally Yoked Christian Introductions, are franchises operated by local matchmakers in a national dating system.
