Dunkin' Donuts Boosted By Competition. For those of you following the number of Krispy Kreme stories linked from this blog and elsewhere, you may be surprised to learn that Krispy Kreme is apparently not selling every donut in America. In this msn.com piece, Dunkin' reports that the competition with Krispy Kreme (and on the coffee side --- Starbucks) has helped Dunkin's sales. Over the years as competition increased, Dunkin' has expanded its offerings to include bagels and breakfast sandwiches, and witnessing Starbucks' success with blended coffee drinks, it has included additional beverages to compete in the upscale coffee market.
