Don't Call It a Comeback. Bob's Big Boy is reimaged and looking to step into this millenium with a strong presence in California and a stiff drink. Big Boy is looking to expand its presence in California by bringing back 60 restaurants in California alone, some offering alcoholic beverages. Although the company began in Glendale, CA with 140 restaurants in its home state, its presence has dwindled to nine locations in all of California. The company has been working under the new image for about three years and is testing alcohol licenses at about four locations. There are 455 Bob's Big Boy locations in the U.S. and Japan.
