Finger Lickin' Good (cont.)

The husband of the woman who placed a fingertip in her Wendy's chili a few months ago has finally been charged, according to the Daily News. Jaime Palcencia, who was arrested on May 4, 2005 in Las Vegas on unrelated charges, now faces two felony charges (conspiracy to file a false charge and attempted grand theft) for the hoax. If convicted, Palcencia could face up to 9 years in prison and may have to reimburse Wendy's for its loss of sales as a result of the incident, which has been estimated by Wendy's to be approximately $2.5 million.
