
Boston Market Corp. has settled two class actions brought on behalf of some 7,000 current and former hourly employees and store managers who had claimed assorted irregularities in their compensation and work schedules. The company has guaranteed payment of $3.75 million in cash to the members of the plaintiff classes, and changes in future pay scales with an estimated total value of $10.3 million. Boston Market has also agreed to reclassify certain workers, change how hours are tracked and offer training in Spanish.
